Having the same problem.

Same problem. Also occurs during intro scene while chatting with Sushi on the Laptop (presumably because of snow outside window). We need some way to run this in windowed mode on contemporary PCs.

Yes, I've run in this problem too. To fix it set UseCursorSet and UseCursorGet to 1 in wndmode.ini.

How do I unpack it into the game directory?

Select 'extract all' from the zipped file and save them to the Runaway The Dream Of The Turtle directory.
Which should be on your hard-drive at, Program Filesx86 -> Steam -> SteamApps -> Common -> Runaway The Dream Of The Turtle

Somebody in a French thread here on Steam managed to locate the file in the Web Archive. I've downloaded it and uploaded it to Google Drive for convenient download, in case anybody needs it:

Game will run fine now, yet only in windowed mode.

None of the other fixes (dgVoodoo, DxWnd, ...) had done the trick for me.

I guess I will just finish chapter 4 in windowed mode now and then switch back to full screen. It's a real shame that neither Steam, nor the game's publisher seems to care about this game.

For the window mode just change the resolution of your screen. Put it 1024x768 and you will play it in full screen. It worked for me.

Thanks for the files and the ability to finish the game. Do chapter 5 and 6 seems to work without it.

Hello guys, I did what you suggested, but now the cursor corrupts everything it passes over and leaves an annoying trail. Could you help me?

Edit:
I solved it by setting in wndmode.ini:
Border=0
and in-game settings, I turned off "high quality video".
Now it works perfectly.
