If this came out in the early to mid 90s, aka the SNES and Sega Mega Drive (Genesis) era, we'd all be blown away by it.

It looks like some high-end Neo Geo game, or a Sega Super Scaler Arcade title.

ok, the Sega Saturn and Sony PlayStation were out in 1995 (1994 in Japan) and they would be able to handle the game well (given it was made for their hardware), but at that point, people wanted proper 3D polygon stuff.

It actually feels like a long lost and forgotten Sega CD 32X title, that not many played due to the high entry price (both add-ons were pricy).
