Short Mode warning
A warning regarding the multiplayer short mode lock-in would be nice. I get why it locks you into a route at the start, but a clearer message letting you know exactly what you're getting into would be a welcome addition.
On my first round I wound up stuck on a route in mulitplayer I honestly had no interest in pursuing because I happened to answer one of the initial questions wrong, and wound up wasting several turns trying to switch without realizing I couldn't. Cost me the lead on the other person (who ACTUALLY wanted to woo the person they picked) and possibly the whole game.

? I played short mode twice and successfully asked out a different character from the final quiz question suggests. (Scott -> Damien, Miranda -> Polly)

i think it's just a consequence of the game favoring encounters with the character you have the highest affection level with, not any inherent lockout?

it seems like the quiz question just gives you some starting affection with them, which as dmboogie suggested makes them appear more often, especially if you're not actively/effectively pursuing someone else

I was more referring to the multiplayer mode, which I was under the impression operated a bit differently than the singleplayer short mode. I'll edit the original post for clarity

As far as I understand the first day question and the second day (Cafeteria) are your chances to decide who you want to woo (besides the last question of the pop quiz), you are NOT permanently locked into any route from just the pop quiz.

SP and MP function exactly the same, just some values are different. Each NPC has their favourite stats (e.g Damien likes choices that use Boldness and Fun in Single Player, in Multi Player he also likes two other stats so MP isn't impossible). Weekend Events are exclusive to MP (or rather playing with more than one character) but other than that they are the same. ;)
