The way cards work now games have to hit certain benchmarks in sales before they can be added. But once the game hits them I'm sure they'll be added. It's too much a draw to not be added.

Yes there are. Due to a policy change on Steam's part a game can't always have trading cards right off the bat when it launches. Instead it needs to pass a certain threshold of popularity before we can request community items like trading cards.

We can now do that and will be going through the process soon.
