Maybe at the start of lunch you can choose to go and buy food instead of going to a table? I think each type of food would work like the table stat events and give +4 to one of two stats offered in the form of horrifying monster food.
My friend thought it would be a better idea to have it be like a fortune cookie that gives a big stat boost, but could also leave you with big losses. The cafeteria only has positive outcomes atm, so I think the fortune cookie route would only work if it was tied to an outside event.
