Report a translation problem
If a developer doesn't tell you the meaning, that means its up for interpretation. These types of games/interactive experiences aren't suppose to be so linear in the way you interpret it. At least at face value.
The only problem with a specific or locked in meaning/ending can mean fewer people relate to it. The nice thing about interpretation being free to the viewer allows you to draw your own conclusions. You can discover the strongest associations that you have with it.
A good ending for you might be a bad ending to others. But to leave it a little vague allows more people to feel satisfied.
God forbid if you have to use your brain to think, right?
