Hidden Damage modifiers?
Sup with the different damage modifiers in this game? I notice certain objects, say those big factory buildings with the rectangular segments, they are extremely vulnerable to ballistics, dying in 1 hit even with an AC5, where if you shoot the same spot with lasers, it takes upwards of 60-80 damage to destroy a single section.

Base Walls are like the exact opposite, where lasers are noticeably more effective, taking 2-3 lasers to knock out a single wall section where SRMs it takes 2-3 volleys of 12.

Another example is those big Orbital guns. Shooting them anywhere but the traversal ring, they are all but invincible, but shoot the traversal ring and they die in like 3 laser blasts, where SRMs dont seem to be as effective in the same spot..

Also seems autocannons and SRMs do more damage to helicopters.

Its like we have some degree of hidden damage modifiers....just odd observations...

Ballistics get a bonus vs buildings. So do Flamers.
literally the only reason to take machineguns or an AC2-BF; they're stupid effective against buildings
Yerp. The larger the caliber ballistic weapon, the more damage it can do to buildings and structures. Then add in the broken lack of bullet drop on most of the ballistic weapons, and you can basically snipe these sites from across the map. (Doesn't seem to have falloff damage on the property damage modifier)
