Is EW worth it??
Okay I know there are some folks on here that have crunched numbers much more then me. What I mean is not so much the literal tonnage of EW gear vs extra weapons ammo, armor, etc. My actual question is, as you guys know there are a couple specialized 85T mechs with EW. Is it worth it to run this EW 85T vs having another 100T. In other words would you give up an extra 15Ts of mech for the EW???

Thanks, happy gaming!!!!

PS IF there is a 95-100T EW variant, great but I have not seen it:)

ECM is worth it if you like to brawl as it reduces enemy accuracy. There is a Cyclops variant that has ECM as well however the Stalker 3Fb is arguably far more formidable despite being lighter due to having greater tonnage free for weapons.
Only time ive seen people take Cyclops is for dual goose waffles

But in seriousness, how does the EW help you in the infiltration missions? Those are missions I never do cuz idk how you actually win them....

EW doesn't help with detection at all. It's merely an "evasion chance", aka the AI will flat out wiff shots even at point blank. Take some yaml mods for instance, a NSS and good EW you can get like 80% reduction to enemy accuracy and basically laugh at the ai shooting at the ground. If you mod it to break the game and get something like a chameleon, NSS, and EW you get near 100% enemy reduced accuracy. And infiltration missions are a joke to try going for no detection, as the bonus for not being detected is only like another 50k c-bills. Far easier to treat it like a regular contract with an optional objective of not getting radioed in.
Best way to do them if you want no detection is small engagements and makingf sure you have a really fast TTK on your targets since all you need to do is eliminate everyone in the area "they'll have pings on them" before the timers up and you fail the "stealth" aspect.

oh lol, so its like Ghost Recon Wildlands, best stealth is a big ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gun.
Hum okay, I am not familiar with infiltration missions or a chameleon suit, are they part of a DLC?? Also what does NSS stand for?? Thanks.

As i was stating if you play with mods, they can break the game and ai, you can get equipment "like from yaml" nss, is the null signature system, "think stealth armor" same thing in terms of the chameleon.

In my experience, pretty much. They aren't worth doing the "Stealth" play as the reward etc isn't all that great in vanilla terms. I'd rather do a raid contract with my locust than an infiltration.
Ow on a side note as someone said earlier as far as the vanilla HVY EW variants I agree the Stalker seems to be the best. I did have the Battlemaster at one point but IDK, the Stalker just seems to do better with the AI????
