It is a steam to epic backdoor issue, restart steam until it works is the only solution as far as i know

after a month of trying all that was posted in discussions I solved it by installing epic launcher, don't ask me why, not even logging in was required, just installing it and running it. Once the launcher connects also does the steam game to the online services. I hope it works for those that still doesn't find any solution.

My friend and I are having this problem too. I've restarted steam several times and disabled crossplay, and so has he, yet its still saying we can't connect to online at all for both of us.

Are their servers just having issues tonight in particular?

Mine connects, but invites doesnt arrive. Epic Launcher did nothing to fox that.
