Advanced tech showing up in 3015 (YAML and more)
Any way to stop the mechs and gear from showing up too early?

Using bunch of those YA mods and I'm not entirely sure which ones i need to change/remove to not get murked by a bunch of Clan-era mechs and weapons while running around in early Light mechs at game start.

it's not YAML itself doing it unless you checked the options to have all units or all items available in all years. unfortunately the only way that I personally know of to stop this is to find the mechs and items that have incorrect introduction dates and disable the mods that add them. first ones I'd check are clan mechs because a surprisingly high number of mod authors saw no issue with setting their introduction date to the year the clans built them instead of the year they'd start being seen in the Inner Sphere.

I did meet a Hollander II on the same mission so it's not just the Clan mechs that can show up too early.

if you're using the classic mech pack there is apparently a separate lore friendly version. I know the regular version can just spawn whenever. anyway point remains the same just find the mechs that have an incorrect introduction date and disable the mods that add them.
Hmmm... well I did use the Clan Invasion mod as well as the Classic Mech Collection YAML (although I switched to the Lore version after seeing the mechs thinking it would fix it)

Is it maybe something that I enabled and now have to start over to get them to stop spawning or should I just stop using the Clan Invasion mod?

the in game unit cards visible in instant action should tell you both introduction year AND what mod added the mech. that should enable you to figure out where the problem is but I will also note by all accounts the clan invasion mod (at least the first one I find when googling the name MW5 clan invasion mod) is basically a broken mess so disabling it can't hurt.
Alright, I'll test that then and hopefully it'll fix it.
