Changed video cards, processor, and 3 different MB...AND IT WAS A FEW FAULTY BITS ON A SATA DRIVE!.

It has never been the case. Ever. Not saying you should not use an SSD but it is just normal to expect to have to replace it after a few years. The difference in average longevity is at the very least half of the HDDs.
