TRAINS !?!
I can't Seem to get rail crafter to work, the way I think it should. I have the RCO and its connected to the main hub so it is making rails but it wont go through a train depot? it wont make the main rail line, so confused.

when you can see the rail going through the building, like in a passenger or cargo station or a refueling station. trains will go through.
if you can not see the rail like in a depot or RCO the train will not go thrue.

Hi,
you have to provide more information on what's happening, screenshots and explanations. This is too little to go on.

Some ideas i can give you:
1. read one of the guides in the guides section about trains. it's not overly complex but there are key things to understand about it. (too long to explain in one post, hence the guide)
2. where is the track builder? Is it in the RCO? does it not come out at all?
3. does the RCO display a red error message? does it have construction material, workforce, fuel (if early start, that means coal and water)
4. have you got signals preventing the track builder from doing what you think it should do?
5. does the trackbuilder leave but get's confused? does the track builder show you error messages in red?
6. Do you have a wonky built track segment that does not separate the intersection from the main segment? it may sometimes happen upon deleting a track and joining it that two things that shouldn't join end up joining and confusing track builders.
7. Track builders can't go through depot buildings. You have to build from both sides if you have planned tracks coming out of the depot on both sides. i am not 100% on this, but it was like that last time i attempted it, granted a train was inside the depot at the time so i'm not clear which lane was busy. Could be your depot is obstructed that way as well.

I have built a track connecting the RCO to the main Hub. I have used the builder demo tracks also. so its not the builder that's broken. Just the way I'm thinking a track should be made I guess.

I am not sure how to add a screen capture to a post here.

1. I will look for this
2. Builder in the RCO, yes
3. no, yes
4. no signals built just simple rail
5. no, build does go out and come back.
6. This could be possible, that's what I'm trying to figure out.
7. If it cant go through buildings, how to build lines that should connect them? I would think line goes in one side of a depot and out the other side of the depot. No trains in the depot.

So you're trying to build a section of rail that's on the other side of a depot? I'm guessing there's no other track connecting the two rail sections outside of the depot? That won't work. You'll need to run some track around the depot and connect both sides of the depot's rails.

is this the same for like the Fuel station as well? does the builder not go through any building?

I have the same problem......now. Since last update anyways. They will not complete tracks to connect to any depot regardless of priority.

i connected a track to a depot just last night... on both sides.. i had to build the track from the outside in, not through the depot. It worked fine for me..

I love how so far no one gives specifics or shows the set up... not easy to provide troubleshooting blind..

Here is a specific........depot.....track.....not connected.......

BTW.....you are no help to anyone.

Depot, unlike most other stations, does not allow trains to pass through. If you want to have rail connected to both sides of the depot, you would have to have a direct path from the CO leading to both entrances.

Be clearer on what kind of visual help you expect then. the discussion was about not being able to lay tracks to and from a train depot. i sent a screenshot of a train depot i just connected last night to show it can be done.

Your uppity attitude doesn't work in your favour for asking for help either tbh.

Here's a zoomed out vew where you can see the RCO, the train depot and everything.

Look, you don't give help....so no one should expect any from you.....so don't worry.

Keep your pics as it does nothing to help......The track builder stops at the end of the built track for a while then just turns around and moves off. The track builder has all the necessary items on board to complete the track....but it doesn't.

Again, I have 3 other completed depots with track connected prior to the last upgrade.....now there are two depots which cannot connect, post upgrade. Very similar to the large water pumps which cannot connect to pipes since upgrade. So pictures do not help. Again to be as clear as possible......depot.....track.....no connecty.

The only user error is you pretending to know what you are posting about.
