The game was running fine yesterday, but on loading my city today, I got the dreaded "2 buildings deleted" message.

Had a look around the map but cannot see anything missing. It is winter so I would expect to see holes in the snow, but nothing. This is not a big city.

Checked log.html. Just two lines saying "Deleting building 0". No indication of what building that was.

I had a recent backup so I compared the mods folders:
dir /s /b >mods.txt
dir /s /b >modbackup.txt
Edited files to remove parent paths then:
fc mods.txt modbackup.txt

No changes.

Checked for modified files in explorer search. Nothing modified since yesterday.

Checked workshop_wip. No changes there.

Searched the whole of media_soviet. No changes except the save games and the log.


This error message really needs to be better. The save game must have some reference to the file it is looking for that it can give us. I did try opening them up with a hex editor, but it doesn't seem to store the buildings in a consistent order, so comparing files didn't work.
