hypothetical zooid changes
i cant figure out how to access the community pole thingy so I'm making my own bootleg version in order to discuss changes that we want to make to existing zooids

personally the zooids i want to see buffed are the flail and the grabber because i have never found a good way to use them in a normal playthrough. I also want the swarmer to receive a buff because i find that it is confusing to use and that it takes too much energy.

There are changes already coming to Flail - it will:
- Have additional connection points for better placement and receiving more buffs from Neighbors
- Conduct Sizzler's shock - basically increase the range by transmitting shock. Looks really cool
- When penetrating add some force to itself - a little effect, but makes landing good shots really nice
These changes are already in beta [staging] branch. There is more info on the Discord.

Swarmer is getting its AI improvements - better targeting by not attacking the same rock all at once, bringing in nutrition with single bees. On top of that Swarmers will give their neighbors, including other Swarmers a +1 charge buff, which means the more Swarmers are connected, the more BEES you have.

i recently beat the game with only the newly buffed swarmer and wile it was a little difficult it was 100% still fun. I think the swarmer can easily stand beside the other weapons as a genuine choice, thanks to the changes

Noice, I'm glad to hear that!
Swarmer is a dangerous Zooid to buff as it plays very automatically - making it too strong might just make playing with it a "push button to win". I think with its bonuses and scaling from other bonuses the start might be hard and later game should scale pretty well. Playing it also requires choosing opponents carefully as some effects, like poison, can kill bees pretty fast. This reminds me to check if bees inherit Buff Duration stat to make them more robust against poison.
