Game not loading on new laptop.
Game ran on my old laptop, only got to play it 12 hours, was loving it. Got a new laptop and made a seperate thread forever ago titled "just need clean re-install" - not the best title, so here is one more descriptive.

When I try to run it on new machine it says "synching" and then says "up to date" but then the blue steam box that pops up to give me those updates goes away and the game does not launch. Button in steam returns to "play" in green instead of 'stop" in blue and then nothing. As if I never pressed it. Ditto for my destop icon.

Is there an email address I can send to them or anyone? Can I at least get my money back if they are gonna resfuse help? This is just maddening.

I doubt it's got anything to do with the syncing being faulty. It just seems to me that Steam wants to boot up the game just fine, but then the process gets terminated, which in my case, is usually due to antivirus blocking it. What resolves this is adding the game's .exe to your exceptions, especially if you use F-secure. I've had so many games not boot up due to it so adding it to my exceptions is always my first go-to and it usually does the trick.

If that doesn't work for you though, then does your new laptop run on another version of Windows than your previous one? If so, you could try to run the game in compatibility mode for the version it worked on previously.
