the game is awesome, we just need to make people discover it again

I have to disagree as far as it being a "dead game". I feel a dead game is something you can't play anymore (servers are totally down). And you can still play online and can play single player too. Yes, there aren't as many people playing it anymore but that is to be expected in a game that was released in 2018.

I have played several games of similar type but NONE of them compare to the story length and creative building and graphics of this game has altogether. Most people dont play long enough to get good at building as I have or even realize they can do it.
What other game out there can you ride a Unicorn, and Pegasus, and Dragons as well as breed so many animals. And at the same time have the freedom to build ships and castles.
I think a lot of people who played this game gave up before they even got to the stage of finding dragons eggs and missed a lot of fun in the game.

Played this game over 1.000 hours and still not done with the latest patch from 2023 as I play even other games, but turn back to Garden Paws from time to time.

Game was released in 2018 and got several updates (including community-requests).

So - Game is not dead, it is released. There is a significant difference between a dead game and a finished game.

I checked out her builds and they seem full of life and imagination. I know you're just rage baiting but it's working... I hate seeing people throw shade at people for absolutely no reason. This game ran it's life cycle and you can enjoy it for what it is or just pass. Don't hate on people who are just enjoying what they want in life

the game may be quiet, but it is far from dead, and as for the comparisons, I have tried some of the ones you mentioned, but a lot of game out there are soo expensive, dont want to spend money to see if I might like it. If they had demos so I could try them, out maybe. I have tried demos for dozens of games and ended up deleting most right away, Tried out a game that was recommended just yesterday and it took 1 1/2 hours just to install and would not go full screen and the text was so small I could not read it, so it got deleted .

In Fact I started playing with several new people to GP in the last few weeks, and they all loved the game,
Everyone has their styles and preferences, and I find the building in GP nicer and not blocky looking like so many games. Most people just dont play long enough to get good a building in the game.
I used to play Minecraft - but it got expensive with all the various versions, and it is very blocky. I got tired of the blocky look;
I used to play sims but it change systems, and version and got expensive too, and the one free version now has very little content and plays slow.
I dont like a lot of MMO games, too distracting for me with others running in and out of the screen. and I simply wont play games where your character is very small on the screen, or 2-D games.

While I played Creativerse for over a year, I was disappointed when the world servers went down. I am back playing Creativerse on occasion on a world with people I met before,
I am also testing out a few new games that are still in demo phase, and have great potential.

But when I want to relax and farm or build at my leisure, or just have fun flying around on a dragon, I come back to Garden Paws every day.
My pleasure now is visiting new players and helping them get started and answering their question, and getting them excited about finding dragons == cause they see me flying on mine.

The Game is not dead. We are on vacation from hectic violent games.

Are games just not allowed to be finished, anymore? It is completely unreasonable for anyone to expect game devs to continue updating their game for the rest of eternity. Eventually, the game is just finished. That's it. It's not dead. It's complete.

Agreed. The entitled generation don't know what it was like to get a physical copy of a game, where the developer was done and that's all. Never even see a patch a lot of times, let alone DLC. It would be completely absurd back then to expect them to babysit their fanbase by staying attached at the breast until the little tyke decides to detach and find a new mother.

Now the norm is for these developers to milk their titles forever for paid DLC and kudos, which has ruined it for the ones who just want to move the F on to other things, like maybe an actual life. Harassment by their players is the fallout, and the entitled generation will always think the world revolves around themselves.

This thread convinced me to try the itch.io demo and then buy the game.
I probably should have just bought the game instead of completing the demo, but since it's 2019 build, I'm looking forward to all the new stuff.
