As for my capture the flag, it's the only one not working, I have all the guns, enough workers, etc.
@Bertie do the buildings have weapons?
That was it, works now!
Although it would be nice if the players on each team could be colour coded, currently you can't really tell who's winning.

When you look at my picture you can see that, and it fixed itself after I restarted and all the guns got changed to rifles.

But instead of Pistol -> Rifle, I did Pistol -> Epic Pistol.
Edit: Added a third arena using the same pattern I used for the previous two that worked and this one refuses to work at all (no idea why):

Maybe wasn't enough memory available to make the workers move the guns from item placed spots to the player spawn spots.
After restarting the game and loading the save, I could build it and it worked.
