Also, in Tetsuo's routes you can see more of this train of thought he followed. He can be even or more crazy by doing certain things later on. Even way at the end you'll still seeing that soft, vulnerable side of him.
I'd say his ending is rushed depending on the order you play the game.
I just figure some of his cute behaviours and personality traits would make sense to still be there for a guy who seems to already live with lower level mental illness most the time, even if in his ending he's arguably more unstable than normal.
But yeah my main issue is how rushed it feels. It just felt like a shock value bad end My favourite thing about horror visual novels, is watching a person go from mental state A to mental state Z, and feeling it's realistic despite the two states being initially unrecognisable. Where watching them progress helps you see those smaller behaviours that make them, themselves.
When these progresses are rushed in bad ends, it often feels like they go from one key word to another. aka best foodie friend to best meal
I wasn't exactly surprised by his end, I just was hoping for something a bit more fleshed out, or convincing in its steps, especially for such an interesting character.
I'll see how I get on with other routes though.
I've had to pause playing for a while as my saves weren't working and I got tired of having to hear the opening song and play it from scratch each time lmao But I'm looking forward to seeing what other Zenya snippets I get from other playthroughs! Thank you! :)
