Also do you play with mods? They have tendency to create unexpected behavior and sometimes errors as well

In case something went wrong during the install process, could you please 'verify integrity of game files' in the game's properties on Steam?
If this doesn't help, it would be great if you could also email us your log file from a game session where it happened - if should live in the folder above "maps" (the folder with saves), with a name Player.log or output_log.txt based on the platform.
I'm still having problems with the catalog. It keeps not showing anything. I verified the integrity of game files, and everything is fine. They were successfully validated. I'll delete the game and install it again.

I just reinstalled the game and the problem persists. =(
