I'd suggest being able to utilize the full 180 degree range below the powerlines to power machines instead of the lower left 90 degrees. Same goes the opposite way for connecting them to the power plant. It just felt like a giant hassle to try and figure out exactly how they work in my opinion. So much so, I almost just gave up and used only generators. Needless to say, it was more than 30 minutes of fiddling around that shouldn't have even been an issue.
