more familiars?
id love to have more... maybe one based off of the spider that can give silk?

The spider can be a familiar (since 1.5.1), and there are many you may not have gotten using the new nets from the structure you get after defeating the cultivator (magic path).

I only found this out the other day, but if you use the enchanted net on magical monsters you capture the actual monster, not the domestic variant (e.g. using it on a minotaur gets you a minotaur rather than a cow).
