Meat Tree placement
When I was trying to put meat tree between two others they was just removed, so instead of 3 trees I've got 1..

Not good.

The first idea was to add outline to a tree while planting it, but then I recall it's a general issue with all flora, placing buildings will remove bushes and trees they are touching. I haven't tried to plant normal trees/bushes yet, but I guess they have similar issue - planting too close will just remove old ones wasting resources and effort.

How about adding some indication instead on those objects which will be removed if action (confirming building placement or tree planting)? Trees/bushes/some debrises could be highlighted with red if they get removed.

This actually already exists - trees that will be removed get tinted red. It's even visible in your screenshot, it's just not very easy to see with the meat trees because they are already really red. I might need to make the tint more clear for objects that are already predominately red (usually, like with trees or bushes, it's very clear).

Oh, now I actually able to see it. Purple tree body on the very left is different. But leaves are not.

How about making tinting more distinct? It doesn't matter if it's very strong, because placing item mode is like 0.00001% of game time.

Maybe it's better to outline them instead of tinting? Strong 1 pixel red border?

It's easier to increase the tint than to add an outline, so I'll just increase it a stupid amount so it's obvious it's about to destroy the tree.
