Now, I know it may seem like I got this idea from Terraria, and Terraria did it first, but funnily enough I actually reinvented the wheel.

You know how the map makes a rustling noise when you open it? It seemed a bit quaint to me to still be rustling paper while wearing super-science laser-blaster gear. I thought an upgrade to a "GPS" that makes an electronic noise when you open it and can scroll around a bit to see more of the map would be nice.

But then, GPSes usually have clocks built in... and mobile phones have GPS apps and clocks also.

Of course there's the small issue of hotkeying, since both the Map and the Comm Device react differently to hotkeys. Maybe just combine the map and the clock.
