Linux (Beta) Support is Live!!!
Not to be outdone by Win7, the Linux builds of Later Alligator are now also live! Linux is a bit of a new frontier for us, so while we've tried to ensure this build works on the first try, there may be blind spots that we didn't see. So! If you could please all submit issues regarding the Linux build to this thread I'd very much appreciate it, and I'll try to get those fixed up as quickly as possible. Thanks again for your support!

I'm running on ubuntu and appear to be stuck. After Pat messages me asking about how to wear shoes, I travel back and then am stuck on a black screen. The "briefcase" and "watch" icons are present and working. There are also some things I should be able to speak to (I.e., I can find some speech bubbles if I move the cursor around), but I cannot interact with them. As far as I can tell I am stuck.

Here's a video showing the issue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3daAuj5JR-M&feature=youtu.be

Same here. Been playing through the game on Ubuntu 18.04 and it's been flawless as far as I can tell until this point. Blank screen, but I can access the menu and watch. Saving and restarting the game just restores back to the blank screen.

I have the same issue at the same location, nothing was logged in the console following the "Logging to <path>/Player.log" and nothing seems noteworthy in Player.log: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1aPrNBps9XiHqIZTKvW2dz9zHqwCjOPcv/view

Good morning! Sorry you're having problems with Later Alligator; to help me debug the issue, could you please tell me the following info:

- What distribution of Linux are you running?
- What hardware are you using? (CPU/GPU/RAM amounts)
- What drivers are you using? (NVidia proprietary vs. nouveau for example)
- What version of those drivers?

Thank you all so much for your patience as we work through these issues!

Hello and thank you all so much for your patience as we triage this issue! Unfortunately we were slowed down by holiday travel, on which our lead (and currently only!) developer got pretty sick, but he's back in the chair and working on this. I'll update this thread when we have some good news for you. Thanks again, and hope everyone's having a great holiday season!
Pumpkaboo_TR 31 Dec, 2019 @ 7:39pm
Happy New Year!

Thanks for the efforts to squash this buggo. I hope any of ya who got sick is feelin better!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

As a new years gift for everyone I've pushed a new build which I've confirmed resolves the issue on Linux! You should be able to simply click "Continue" and have it pick up right where you left off. Thanks again for your patience and support!
