Does the Matchmaking prioritize Halo 3 or something?
I swear, every single match I queue up for ends up being Halo 3. I really don't like Halo 3's MP, but does the system just prefer that or something?

Many people only play Halo 3 mp, that's why.

Halo 3 is just really popular with people who play MCC, reach is prob 2nd place with 2 4 and CE following. I recommend just disabling Halo 3 when searching for games, your wait times might increase a little but you wont be playing halo 3.
people seem to really like the extreme hitreg jankyness of halo 3, makes no sense
just uncheck it and you mostly get Reach matches, way better hitreg, way better gameplay

you can lead your shots a smuch as you want, the janky af netcode between players from south america and europe having to play on US servers (add to that consoleros) at the same time makes it that at least 30% off all hits you see on your screen do NOTHING to the target that's hit
and that is across all MCC games (with funny enough CE and 4 having the least issues, because the oldest game has the most simple netcode and the newest one the most advanced polished out code)

then comes Halo 3 that went away from hitscan to physicalized projectiles, but kept the aimbot and bullet magnetism and you get JANKYNESS QUADRUPLED
it's so bad you can stand 2 meters in front of afk's and empty multiple magazines into their head before even the shield drops
maybe you need a bunch more hours of PVP vs people from all around the world to notice
if you keep an eye open and be honest you will

yes janky netcode and janky hitreg code and it is the worst BY far on Halo 3 exagerated by it's weird hybrid physical projectiles+ aimbot/magnetism system
maybe you heard of the BF II resurgence, play that one, tho you get to headshot with all weapons and most importantly NO HITREG ISSUES
CSGO no hitreg issues and so on
there is loads of games that don't have that problem, also a bunch that do... like H3

Yeah, so gave it another try...Takes 20 minutes to load a single match if I remove H3 from the multiplayer queue, 2 minutes if I don't. I also keep loading into H3 matches where it's a complete lockout. The enemy team hasn't stopped playing since 2007 apparently because it's just a complete wash. I think it's rather telling that in literally every other game, I can do decently

I mean yeah brother, this game has been out for a minute - it is no different than any other halo title if you play matchmaking. Halo 3 is the goat and most of the veterans and retired infinite comp play 3 because of how perfect that game is.
