Same happened to me.... Looks like the demo was only available until today?? My 6 year old is really upset cause she loved flying the planes around with me.... ugh. I don't know why the demo would come down off of steam if the early access game is not available to purchase... at the very least allow players to still mess with the game and report bugs and suggest better features. Hopefully I don't have to wait long to buy the EA version cause with no demo access anymore my 6 yr old won't stop bugging me until it comes out.

I don't know if we're supposed to do this, but you can still manually launch the game if you still have it installed: navigate to its install directory and double click "balsa.exe" to launch.

Actually, few other games removed their demos as well. I guess it was a one time thing.

Bit bummed was not able to figure out how to get my engine to work so never flew. Got on today since I did some research and found out the demo is gone...

I just tested, and I couldn't launch through steam either...
Good news though, if you open your local files for the demo and launch "balsa.exe", the demo still works perfectly ^_^

If demo usage levels drop off, may others be able to obtain the demo? :)

i really wanted to try it. Just wait till summer! It started 9 days ago.
