I think they should just release a minor update just to keep the community engaged for a little longer.

I think something about the middle between too big update that takes 10~20 months per update and too small updates that are released every 10~20 minutes should be close to what is optimum.

Watch they just release Balsa Model Flight Simulator II instead

This isn't a single update we are working on. It's a much larger overhaul.

But yes, we do plan on eventually returning to smaller public updates.

What kind of time frame can we expect the updates? Balsa is kinda lonely with multiplayer not functioning properly.

With HarvesteR themself replying on this thread I'm inclined to keep an eye open. I was definitely agreeing with it being abandoned though before seeing this comment. And it's literally only because I know who HarvesteR is, if it was any other dev it wouldn't carry any weight at this point.

I excitedly bought the game when it came to EA and have been very disappointed with the growth that has been shown since then. I had fun with the clearly early version of the intended experience, but that entertained me for....not long. I'd rather build planes in KSP1 with 6 year old mods still.

As an early KSP adopter this isn't what I had expected. The complete lack of game updates or posts on Steam don't make me inclined to then go check on another platform, Discord, for updates. It's been nearly 2 months since the last post, and that one said essentially don't worry, something is happening soon™.

Regardless of that, I keep checking the Steam space hoping something would happen, and then I gave up on an announcement or update so I found myself here in this thread, with someone else asking the same question, "Is this game dead already?" This isn't how Public Relations should work.
