finding activation key in new ui
I got r6:siege in the halloween sale, which start through uplay, which needs a activation key before it can start. Where can I find the activation key in the new UI?

Games > activate a product on steam
have to have the top menu bars above store library enabled

You misunderstood. I need to find the key in steam to activate in uplay! Not find where I activate a key in steam. It used to be in the "Links" tab on the right of the library UI. Links tab does not exist anymore (or I cant find it).

Im looking about; this seems to be an actual problem at the moment.

I dont see any way to view keys any longer.

Good question.

Also, where is the manual and other such links?

OP: I think you should go to support for this one and ask them. Please post here if you get a solution.

You can get manuals from the store page, on the right, or you can use this format and change the AppID

Thanks for the workaround. Still though, why remove it from the library?

Support has been contacted... I'll update when I hear more.

A CD Key is no longer required to activate Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege on your Uplay account. When this game is launched for the first time from your Steam Library, you should receive a Uplay pop up indicating that you are about to activate it to your Uplay account.

If you are receiving a Uplay prompt requesting a CD Key, please restart both Steam and your Uplay client.

The response I got from steam support.

I wonder if cd key as a required feature has been removed altogether?

Ok, what about all the other games that use serials and have no uplay activation?

Right click the cover image (or the name on the title list) > Manage > CD Keys

Honestly, I havent been prompted to manually enter a CD key in years, actually, now that I think about it. Even for older stuff that opens the overlay with the CD key displayed, games that used to need it every install.

Yep it is there, thanks. My Sims 3 and it's 300 expansions are happier now.

Still it was simpler the way it was before. Particularly since there is no obvious indication the game has a CDkey for you to think about looking there.

I restarted both client and uplay still wants the CD Key.

Try downloading newest uplay from ubisoft. Think they stopped asking for most keys a year or two ago.
This might be helpful?
