As an interesting fact, I just used my girlfriend's account on my PC and with her account everything works correctly... It's as if my account is not working properly or something is happening to it.

But using my girlfriend's account the consumption is normal, as always, nothing exaggerated and without playing with the chat open, about 350MB stable.

I've been playing exactly the same thing and on her account everything works correctly. The RAM consumption is optimal and nothing exaggerated compared to my account.

I don't really understand how this is possible, since it is the same PC with the same application.

Try another account to see how it works for you.

I will make a ticket with this information, mentioning the consumption of both accounts on the same PC with the same application to see what they tell me.

I found something that could help

They close Steam,
Windows+R pastes the following: steam://open/minigameslist

Steam runs in a mode where only the games list appears and you can use the friends list.
The store, etc. are disabled. But apparently it makes Steam consume what is "normal" and even less.
At least until a solution is found or something can be done, you'll have to use Steam like this.

To see the rest, profiles, etc., I use Steam in the browser.
We shouldn't have to use Steam like this, but for now there is no other option

Edit: to return Steam to normal, you just need to view your profile by clicking on your photo in the friends list or writing: steam://open/largegameslist

Doesn't work, it just hides the store page but loads it anyway. Made no difference for me.

I am sorry to hear that ):

Personally, being doing nothing doesn't consume as much, playing I would say it's normal. I'm not home, but I tried it before I left and it worked at least I think so.

When I arrive I check how it works by playing

It seems there is a bug which was introduced recently, quite a lot of ppl reporting. So it might be best to just wait til they fix it.
