Why you SHOULDN'T use the clown (jester) award.
Using jester awards in response to other people's posts can be offensive and humiliating for several reasons. Firstly, the jester award is often associated with mockery or ridicule. When someone uses it in response to another person's post, it can be interpreted as belittling or making fun of what they've shared.
Secondly, awards are a form of communication, and using them to convey negative sentiments can be hurtful. Just like using derogatory language or insults, using awards to mock or insult someone's post can be deeply upsetting to the recipient. It suggests that their thoughts, opinions, or experiences are not being taken seriously or are being dismissed as frivolous.
Furthermore, the use of clown awards can contribute to a hostile online environment. Steam community is already full of negativity and toxicity, and using awards to mock or ridicule others only adds to this negativity. It can create a culture of bullying and harassment where people feel afraid to express themselves freely for fear of being ridiculed or attacked.
Additionally, using jester awards in response to someone's post can be seen as passive-aggressive behavior. Instead of engaging in constructive dialogue or expressing disagreement in a respectful manner, the use of awards to mock or ridicule someone's post is a way of avoiding meaningful conversation and shutting down communication.
Moreover, the impact of such actions should not be underestimated. Being on the receiving end of mocking or ridicule, even in the form of awards, can have a significant emotional toll on individuals. It can lead to feelings of embarrassment, shame, or self-doubt, and can even contribute to mental health issues such as anxiety or depression.
It's also worth considering the broader implications of using awards in this way. In today's digital age, online interactions play a significant role in shaping perceptions and attitudes. When people see others using awards to mock or ridicule someone's post, it normalizes and perpetuates this behavior, making it more likely to occur in the future.
In conclusion, using jester awards in response to other people's posts is offensive and humiliating because it belittles their thoughts and experiences, contributes to a negative online environment, and can have a significant emotional impact on the recipient. Instead of resorting to mockery or ridicule, we should strive to engage in respectful and constructive dialogue, even when we disagree with someone's views or opinions. So, STOP USING jester and engage in a respectful dialogue.

Edit: These idiots put the idiot clown award on my profile. F*ck you!

Only offensive if you deem them to be. Don't look at them that way and just take the free points. Though going by someone has already gave you one it looks like your bait thread is working

Feels like your post is just a bait to get the jester emote for points...

If anyone doesnt want their points, im happy to accept them instead lol

You're free to do what you like. No one else needs to operate according to your beliefs and values. You can invent what ever narrative you like for the purpose of jester farming, enjoy your two jester awards and the 400 points that I figure you'll inevitably get.

Awards should never have been introduced. I'm sick of bait posts like this or the usual bait posts that litter every games sub-forum (especially new releases).

thank you OP for providing an opportunity to use this, ever since the jester farm threads have disappeared from the palworld forums it’s been hard to find the right place for:

Pretty much feels like it. I thought OP was going to be saying the same thing everyone else has been saying. That feeding users jesters promotes trolling and baiting in the forums and then the forums become unusable.

Basically I thought OP was going to say giving jester awards is akin to littering or feeding the pigeons in the downtown park. But instead OP wanted to be the pigeon being fed.

I think we need a Farmer Award. Awards the user 1 point with the description, "Even the best attempts at farming can fail."
Nx Machina 23 ABR 2024 a las 6:35
Jester - "A valued member of the King's Court" plus free points.

Secondly you cannot know the "intent" of the person giving the award instead you "assume" it is negative, malicious etc.

And finally you have to "prove" the intent of the giver but you cannot unless they actually state the reason why.

As a sidenote: On another thread the op had previously given Jesters before creating the thread, then gave a Jester to anyone who did not agree with them on that created thread.

In which case, negative connotations will be applied to another award. Banning words or symbols does not alter perception or change opinion, it only forces people to find a new means of expressing that feeling.
