It doesn't prevent them from being in your games.

I think L4D2 maybe had that feature but not Dota 2 or CS2.

Friend, at that point you need a whitelist not a blacklist.

L4D2 does have that feature, but with the number of people op is stating they blocked they probably haven't realized it not working in cs2.

I think i use my blocklist quiet a bit to remove bigots and trolls from my forum view and i only managed like 350+ blocks in 13 years.

Even with 3.5k hours in Left 4 Dead, the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ community Imaginable, I still have yet to cross 1k blocks.

It sounds like OP is blocking every single person he plays with...

I went from 2 to 800 this year, that was from the BG3 and Starfield forums. At least that way I could see the few threads that were actually about the games and not about being able to pick a pronoun.

It sounds like OP is blocking every single person he plays with...

I found it much easier to simply block people through my server than their profile. I use blocking now particularly on the forum to combat spam or alt accounts that spam.

if this is true, valve didn't bother to increase it because they didn't think anyone could achieve it.

This is bad for me. I use the blacklist exclusively for cheaters. At the moment I lost 5 thousand entries because I reached 30,000 five times in a row.

Now I’m using a new account to duplicate blocking, but this is also bad because the rules for using Steam are violated (you cannot have more than one account).
Maybe Valve will increase the blocking limit?

Can you quote that rule here? I don't think the rule against matchmaking manipulation applies to blocking people on the forum.

Also, there isn't really a rule against multiple accounts per se on Steam.
