Why cant we block players?

Its been TWO entire DECADES since Steam released yet its massive letdown has never been solved.

Blocking people.

If you don't know, (You probably know,) when you block someone, you've blocked all communications with the player and they mean ALL of the communications.

But what i actually does is just hides their messages, and you can just show them. Thats just horrible.

No wonder so many people are banned; they cant stop thier arguments.

When you block someone, that means you dont want to talk to them. Thats final.

Apparently, that's not the case. It just makes it harder to see thier messages, and yet, you still can show them, and they can still communicate with you.

Im tiered of recklessly having to defend my suggestion, or opinion for so long, its so annoying.

If this counties for more decades, the community will get worse and worse.

Why do we need to depend on the moderators minds to stop arguments?
Why cant we just block them? Its so annoying. Just why?

If i block someone, i never want to see them in my threads, profile, or anywhere else. I don't want them talking to me!

Like bruh for real, ROBLOX! has BETTER blocking system than Steam like come on man!



OK. So when you block someone, they cant talk in any of your threads, but the can still view them and report them. Same if your blocked by someone. Easy isn't it?

So then why can Value do it? Is it that pesky 14 year crap they have or something?

Im very clueless on why.

Any friendly thoughts, opinions are welcome.

How come we can delete comments from our own mods, profile, or comments in our mods forum?

I know you can just block and ignore, but its just so hard to not resist clicking to show it.

If you don't have the willpower to ignore a blocked message, then don't bother blocking anyone. At least that way there is no temptation to see what lies beneath the blocked message. You also have the choice to ignore someone's messages, it is just up to you on whether you do or not. :spazwinky:

Because you are a nobody and you shouldn't have the power to decide who can post on the public forums. Same as every other user.

Public forums, everyone can interact with everyone. You can choose to not see these interactions by using the existing block function.
