Is Paypal still available as a purchasing option?

I just checked the news and it seems Paypal is pulling out its service for Steam purchases for most people who live outside the U.S.

Has this affected anyone yet living outside or within North America?

This change first appeared in early July 2025, initially thought to be a maintenance issue, but it’s only now that Valve has confirmed what’s going on. According to the company, one of PayPal’s acquiring banks decided to stop processing any Steam transactions for certain currencies.

Millions of players worldwide are discovering that PayPal is no longer an option at checkout, unless they pay in Euros, British Pounds, Japanese Yen, Australian dollars, Canadian dollars, or U.S. dollars.

So basically just link your Paypal to a USD or Dual Currency account or card and you're good to go.

i can still use it cause have usd like the main currecy and make payments via steam website not the app
