Appeal via the developer? Possibly, but the developer is probably the one who reported it.
I don't think you can do anything about this. You're likely stuck with the consequences of your actions.
I think, best case scenario, is you use this as a lesson going forward to be more respectful from the get-go.
There once was an insurance company making all their ads with the slogan:
Review bans are given by Steam Support. Developers/publishers can't ban reviews.
Game devs can not ban reviews. Only Steam Support bans reviews. Reaching out to the game devs won't do anything.
OP, contact support and you might get lucky.
But after reading the review, don't hold your breath.
I've seen worse but I'm also not saying it wasn't what you said.
As for the person above, false narrative, devs cannot ban reviews, only steam support can
It was offensive.
And game devs can not ban reviews.
You're mixing up two things. The devs can moderate their own game hub and ban you from there. But they do not have any such powers when it comes to reviews. Only Steam Support can ban reviews.
The game hub belongs to the dev and they're free to ban you for any reason. But they can not do anything about a negative review as long as the review does not break community rules.
Some vulgarity.
