How is rating system works?
I don't understand why some games are in the "Top rated" section and some are not. For example, let's take Stardew Valley, one of the highest-rated games on Steam across all genres. But why don't we see it in the Indie Top Rated category then?

Click on Top Sellers tab. I see it second from the top.

Yeah, but the question about top rated. Liar's Bar for example is in both sections. And it's Very Positive when Stadew Valley is overwhelmingly positive. And there are a lot of such cases. Why don't we have Disco Elysium in Top Rated? How do they filter this section. I'm just curios.

Liar's Bar shows up in the "Popular Titles" which is above the list,
the list itself only contains games with "Overwhelmingly Positive" reviews.

Maybe the listed products differ from account to account? idk.

If you scroll down you will find it in Top Rated. It has 4k+ titles in total. But Disco Elysium and Stardew Valley are absent in this section at all. But it seems like these games has higher rates than Liar's Bar. And it just one example. There are so strange games in Top Rated if you scroll down deep enough, but no such classic like games I mentioned.

I tried opening up "Indie Top Rated" section again and I noticed that it mixed up the list, now I'm seeing a mix of "Very Positive" and "Overwhelmingly Positive" titles.

I clicked on "Show more" 4 times and couldn't find "Liar's Bar".

It's random, which is nice because it gives most developers a chance to be seen.

I doubt anyone knows exactly how "Top Rated" works but we can at least confirm that it's random.
