Games requires link accounting... despicable

Yeah as the headline goes..

I find it despicable that for you to be able to play a game you are forced to link your account to any other platform..

in this case its rockstar ofc..
id been looking forward to playing Red Dead.. just to find out im forced to link my bloody steam account to rockstar..

and even worse it says its permanently linked....
im trying to keep my digital stuff seperate so its not linked toghter all over the internet..
but its getting bloody hard when steam allows the devs to force link account and having to use their piece of S... launcher..

3rd party launchers/account linking are to validate you have the licence to the game on Steam.

and im sure they can have that validating run through the steam launcher.
without the need for their heavy launcher..

But in worst case i can deal with that i guess.

It is validate through Steam.

Rockstar account?

Rockstar Launcher installed?

As for forced, it is a requirement of the 3rd party to be able to access their games on other PC platforms including Console.

The alternative is to get the game directly on their own launcher.

And im saying they can easly make it so nothing of the sort is required to play their game while they still get to validate you have a legal key..

Still as i wrote in my former reply to you.

in the worst case i can deal with the 3rd party launcher.
but what really grind my gears is that im forced to PERMANENTLY link my account to a different company..
they deffo do not need that to verify your key.
Just a temp link at the initial handshake is more than enough.

Okay, so you got that 2hr window. If you don't like the game asking to link your accounts, close the game and get a refund. Vote with your wallet. They'll get the message eventually.

Well had i known this sure.
But i didnt and i bought this on sale and yeah well its not on sale on their side atleast what i can see from their online browser..

So sure can do the refund on atm i am very much considering this option.
