Have you confirmed the card attached to your PayPal is in date? I had an issue a few years ago and I needed to update my PayPal with the new card information

I had a problem once where Steam's built-in CEF wasn't playing nicely with whatever scripting was going on from Paypal. Eventually that discapeared. Try in a browser.

Have you contacted PayPal to see if there is any issues on their side, like their website is down, processors are out of service, maintenance, etc.

I am trying to purchase a DLC for Dead By Daylight whilst using PayPal (which has worked fine up until now), but I am now receiving the following message:

"We are temporarily unable to process transactions with this payment method at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience."

Is anyone else having this issue and, if so, have you been able to resolve it?

Additional Context:

VPN isn't on. Web browser is not outdated. Tried completing this purchase through the Steam app on my PC, through the Steam app on my phone, as well as through the web browser version of Steam, and each time I am coming across the same message.

Got the same issue today, but on another game.
Been working fine up until now - my card is not out of date either.
No reports on maintenance or similar at neither Paypal or Steam

Lol. Somehow , I am glad I am not the only one.

Does stop me from buying RimWorld + all DLC which took me a while to make up my mind to buy it . So save my money...

same here. i hope they fix it soon. i had to pay it with my bank account funds which i dont like to use for these purposes. thats when credit cards comes in. im in Brazil and i could use PagSeguro payment system but im disabled and cant use face recognition to confirm the purchase. so im stuck until steam fixes it

I don't even get the option for paypal in steam as an Aussie..

Yeah, Paypal is changing stuff up and now is no longer able to be a payment method for certain things.

They updated the Steamworks document with a #15

Idk if this is the cause for you (and others) not being able to use Paypal but it could be the reason. I'm not sure since I just saw this news today (and one of my game's Devs mentioned something about their game cause of this Paypal thing)

Any true experts out there that knows what's up 100%? cause this is all I have.
