People can report you until their heart's content. A ban's only going to happen if those reports are accurate.

Your comprehension skills need some improvement.

The mere presence of a report on your account doesn't get it banned. There needs to be proof to support the claim. Support doesn't just click "BAN" because some rando said you should be.

I don't think people can do that. they can't just call you a cheater while straight up game banning you like that. people just don't know how game banning works.

Both of those games use VAC and there are no players that can contact the devs directly to issue Game developer bans.

TF2 uses VAC. The only way you're getting banned in TF2 is if you trigger VAC through your own actions. That does not work off of player reports.

As stated in the VAC FAQ:

Users are not VAC banned based on reports alone. Other factors are taken into account before VAC bans are issued.

that being said, people can't just randomly ban you in game just because you aren't a cheater.

There are some games where large content creators have direct access to the devs and can send names to them to get them banned. One did this recently and it targeted a pro player. Once things settled, the game dev unbanned the pro player.

These aren't VAC bans though. And none of this can be done in Valve titles.

I often wonder why someone is given an obvious lie by someone (ie their account will be banned). The person then comes to the forum posting about said scam. They are told it is a scam, the person then proceeds to question the advice given. Absolutely amazing ....

this was on discord n steam ive had to block like 10 ppl thinking im someones alt when im not saying theyre going to game ban me bc of alting
