Will Steam somehow warn that user reviews are written by AI?
Lately I've been seeing more and more stupidly structured reviews via chatGPT, the same emotional moments of chatGPT, really need to at least warn that the review was written via chatGPT. I don't mind if the text is slightly corrected, but you can't completely trust a robot to write a review.

Would be nice to see some examples

here is a structured chatgpt review (in Russian) I don't know how things are going with English reviews, they don't show up for me, it would be interesting to analyze
Users increasingly write fake emotions in reviews - and they do it so unnaturally that it is immediately obvious: 80 percent of the text was clearly generated by ChatGPT. Even the description of game moments sounds unusual for an ordinary player. Literary devices have started to be used too often, as if everyone suddenly became a screenwriter
There's no warnings for such things. Valve would need to implement a system that checks the reviews and evaluate if they're AI written. That can also be hard to do since many of the current tools used give lots of false positives.

If you think a review is breaking the rules, report it. That's all you can do for now.

Sure, as soon as they warn about reviews that do not pertain to the game and are instead jabs at developers. There are plenty of examples out there, I will give you the honors of finding those with the reminder that not believing those exist does not make them not exist.

yeah, and those political reviews that are not related to the game itself, okay, I understand those negative reviews if there is something wrong with the game itself and an extreme negative reaction, but yes, there are reviews that are not related to the game itself but more related to the actions of the developer company's policies

What scares me most is that perhaps in a couple of years most reviews will be written in a similar style to the one written by chat gpt (and such reviews gain more AWARDS and popularity), most likely there will be fewer and fewer sincere reviews
I take AI reviews any day over the entitled whining that isn't about the games. :lunar2019grinningpig:

As said, no warning as Valve doesn't have the means for it. And seeing how often people on the forums claim "LLM slop" when people actually write long posts, people make up their own beliefs anyway.

I have ASD and often use GPT to help me rewrite things so to make sure I'm only telling people to go ♥♥♥♥ themselves when I want to. My opinion still matters as much as yours does.

PS: Go ♥♥♥♥ yourself.
PPS: Yes, sometimes the joke is worth the ban.

Seems like the sort of thing an LLM could help me with.

developers make the game(s), they control their game hubs, thus any bad behavior, or forcing of nonsense, or not fixing bugs, etc.. etc.. are part of a review, no matter if one likes it or not.

have a nice day

Tbh that's not much different to the copy paste spam reviews we get constantly now.
Honestly so much trash in the review sections that there isn't much more than the score to go by, and that takes a few weeks to settle to something fairly usable.

Though I appreciate wanting to get trash away from the review section I am pretty sure that's a loosing battle.
