Also, in the future, don't wait so long to put your request in. Sooner you do it, the better.
What matters is when you put in the request, not how long it takes Valve's to process it. It would be extremely bad news for Valve if they took last day refund requests drug it out and said, "oh sorry, you're over now, no refund". I mean really think about that and how many people would take issue with that result. It's not how thing works.
Just sit tight. And don't do the inane thing some users do where they cancel a ticket and resubmit it try and speed thing up. Just be patient and wait.
The 14 day rule is from the date of purchase as per the refund policy:
WITHIN two weeks of purchase AND with LESS than two hours of playtime.
