As for why we don't call them foolish in the comments it's because if they report the person who said it then they have an actual argument for being rude. I don't give out the Jester for any other reason than genuine stupidity or funny posts. The difference between bait and dumb is actually quite obvious. I typically try to ignore the bait posts as it annoys me, unless the comments are fun then I join in.

Steam decided to incentive clickbait slop forum posts so here we are.

Quality posts, meaning the ones that generate the most comments, are what have our forums as alive as they are, and awards or rewards are a benefactor of that reaction and clicks we give to the Steam Forums
