how do i stop steam from pausing youtube when playing a game

so i need something playing in the backround while gaming and i was testing castle crasher mods and it muted the youtube video i was watching how do i fix this

buy YouTube premium.

The pause in background is normal behavior for non-premium YouTube users on mobile and embedded browsers.

Alternatively, don't use the Steam overlay to watch YouTube videos.

If you are using the Steam overlay, probably no way around then getting premium.

But I can recommend getting a Browser like LibreWolf that is light weigh and have some Extensions.

uBlock Origin. Might stop working sometimes, but clearing cookies site data and Temporary catches files. Most of the time, solve that.

Enhancer for YouTube. Have a lot of setting to make the YouTube player beater

If you start getting a YouTube pop up about YouTube complaining about ad blocker, try the Remove Adblock Thing. By The real Joel matic on GitHub for the Extension Tampermonky.

You can also use YT-DLP to run the YouTube link for a video or a playlist in mpv. But that is more command lines and links I don't know if I can post here, so you have to look it up. But that option is the best for getting as little stops by YouTube, and beater quality in general in my option.
