"Back" button resetting scroll position
Hi people.

Not sure if is something I did or a Steam update, but before, if I was to scroll the page while navigating a collection, for example ( using the Steam client ), then select a game to see its details and pressed the back button, Steam would keep my scroll position. I liked that, because I could continue to navigate my collection.

Since a couple of days though, whenever I do that, Steam sends me to the top of the page, resetting the scroll position.

Is there some setting I can toggle for that? I'm not sure why the change happened.

same overhere.
Likewise. What annoys me more is that when you scroll through the library shelves, the client has a dedicated "Scroll to Top" button. Why reset to the top after backing out from a game's page when you have the option already?

I hope it's just a bug.

Sounds like it is a Steam issue then.

What I noticed is that if I try using the back button right after I start Steam ( just a few seconds in ), it works as "intended". Meaning it puts me back at the previous scroll position. But if I wait just a few more seconds, than the behavior changes and it starts sending me to the top of the page.
same here.
it is a pain if you have a lot of games and sorted by achievement % :(

Yes this is very annoying. I truly hope this is being investigated. Has been going on for a long time already.
Annoying issue, indeed. Please vote for it here: https://github.com/valvesoftware/steam-for-linux/issues/12192.
