an older thread got locked regarding this but literally I want to be able to delete screenshots locally without affecting the cloud, public post. half the time it acts as if they're linked and delete the publicly posted one, but half the time sometimes they don't.
I dunno what causes it. it also happens even in older screenshots despite initially thinking it'll only "link" the treatment if you only very recently uploaded it.
I want to be able to delete screenshots locally via the manager, and letting the public posts stay up if it's uploaded. this was the behavior back then and there's even a window prompt for it (whether or not you want to delete the public post or not in the Steam Cloud). It's sad to see old features getting stripped even though it was useful.

(possibly locked because it's rambly, and one of the poster's main issues, "uploads suddenly moving a screenshot's chronological position" is now fixed I think. But still there are some other unadressed issues).
I even made my own post after a while that focuses specifically on wanting to be able to delete SS's from Local while keeping the Online Cloud post:

since this is recent and actually has three people total, I'll voice my support here too despite technically already making an older post. no need to move there, I just want steam to actually get their eyes on the fact that users want this no matter where.
