However, if you're not already, keep an eye out for when the events happen. Not so much the big ones like the summer sale or winter sale, but often the 3 days mini-events that happen through the year can get you free avatars and frames. They're normally free during the event but then cost points afterwards. If you scroll through points shop From events bit, virtually all the events with 3 things in them were free while they were happening.
