Is it possible to trade games with another user?
I have an extra copy of Don't starve together and I was wondering if it was possible to trade it for another game? It's tagged as tradable but I have zero clue of how trading works on Steam. Some clarification would help. :btd6stunned:

I believe occasionally you get some sort of tradable coupon for a game that can be traded like other marketplace items.

If you want to trade something like that the other person needs such coupon for your desired game.

Games that have been bought, activated and added to your library are permanently attached to your account.

games bought as gifts used to be added to the inventory and could then be traded. due to the abuse, steam stopped games from making copies in the inventory and they now only get added to an accounts library. some games still have multipacks that create inventory copies, but that is only because they existed before the change was made.

you can trade your inventory copy as you see fit to other steam users. just remember that all trades are FINAL. if you mess up or try something silly and get scammed, you will not get your stuff back that you traded away. read the support articles about trading, safe trading practices, and account security.
