I was banned for criticizing Valve

Steam mods are special. They've certainly earned their reputation, haven't they? Yesterday I criticized Valve for making another lackluster, effort-free "sale." Valve has its fanboys. The type that think Valve actually cares about them, who believe Gabe Newell only thinks how he can make gamers' lives better while he's counting his money on one of his many yachts. But apparently even Steam mods feel that way because my post was too much to bare and I was banned for 30 days.

I contacted Steam Support telling them that decision was not only shortsighted but stupid. They agreed and overturned the ban, so Steam Support agrees with me about that Steam mod.

If you feel a Steam mod has overstepped contact Steam Support and let them know; some of them can be reasoned with.

I have been banned on Roblox for ciritcising games. Idk whats going on with mods thinking that they can ban users for bullying when they are just critising a game. So dumb.

Given your post history, it's not surprising. Your constant negativity in threads isn't really criticism, it's just plain old hate over something no one knows anything about.

I reckon you're lucky they overturned it, would have been deserved in my opinion.

What negative practices would that be? I'm not saying they don't exist, just want your perspective.

I got banned on some game board for telling a group of people of a certain "protected" group to calm down and stop harassing someone who asked a very simple harmless question once.

If by "calm down" you mean insults, every user is "protected" from that...as it's in the rules.

Also keep in mind that depending on which moderator you get they will either be more willing or less willing to help you, So i say you got lucky
