Steam Content Plagiarism and Attribution Discussion

Would like to hear other people's thoughts on this. How do you feel about fair use, proper attribution/crediting, and content thieves on Steam?

I noticed quite a bit of certain types of people copy/pasting guides from GameFAQs with neither attribution nor consent. They then got REALLY angry at me for pointing out their plagiarism. Lmao.

I do have thoughts of my own but would like to hear how others feel about this first.

You contact the original author and have them file a claim.

You yourself can not do anything about the user directly.
