US also pays taxes on the displayed price ($4.99 + tax). Each state has its own sales tax rate as well.
Poland has VAT included in the displayed prices.
Also, ask the game devs in the Lost Ark game hub...

So for equality that would need a 35% American sales tax whereas I believe the average is about 8% only.

Amazon can charge whatever they want for their in game items.
They know the exchange rates and can adjust them properly.
VAT is always relevant when compared against US sales tax.
Can you point me to the law that says your price must be equivalent to the USD price?
Have you ever paid less than the USD price? How loud were your complaints to equalize the price then me wonders?
It doesn't entirely offset the differences, but you can't just ignore it for convenience either. The issue can be more complicated than that.
And I'm not saying it's fair, or you have to like it. Although I will say the price is the price, and you can complain to whoever you want about it, and they may or may not care to change the price, or change it to your satisfaction. Ultimately it's your choice whether to pay the price or not. You might not be owed the price on your terms...
