yes that is what i am talking about. i have a screen shot of it but i can't figure out how to upload it from my desktop
You can however very easily change any shortcut icon manually doing what you were already saying. The game icon itself is usually located on the .exe (executable) file of the game itself. You can find the actual location of those files if you right click on your game in the Steam library and go to files. There is a button there to open the file explorer directly in that directory.
Tell me if you can manage it. Cheers.
you can use sites like imgur to post screenshots if need be.
also, you can as well clear your OS icon cache, restart your pc and said icons should "refresh".
assuming you are running win 10/11?
the above works on all icons, corrupted, or not showing, or simply wrong icons (if it doesnt then something is wrong).
also to note, im pretty sure "disk cleanup" run as admin, has a box to check called "thumbnails", that i believe (correct me if im wrong?), clears your icon cache as well.
let us know if it worked.
good luck and have a nice day
